Located at the legendary film studio in West Hollywood, the 3,000 sf commissary serves a bustling population of 1,000 entertainment industry workers per day. Conceived of as a bright day-time restaurant that can transform into an evening event space, Backlot Restaurant's design reflects the history of the studios through its form and art.

Among other design elements, the ceiling's sophisticated design showcases the wide range of drywall's versatility, while presenting a graphic rendition of the large ceiling fans found in the old studios.
