Fluorescent Fields
-
This space for one of the art world’s youngest and most ambitious dealers consists of typical gallery functions such as office, reception, storage, and two large exhibition spaces. These main spaces and the entry lobby are unique in that they are lit completely with exposed fluorescent fixtures. This approach to lighting, more often used in an European Kunsthall, allows for the equally effective display of painting or sculpture. A formed ceiling plane articulates the entry zone and moreover, sets up a transition between the reception area and the galleries behind.
